Plant Protection Provider Expands Product Portfolio for Fruit and Wine Cultivation
Meckesheim/Vienna, January 23, 2025 — Austrian plant protection provider Kwizda Agro is introducing three innovative biological products to the German market this January, designed for both organic and conventional production. With BOTECTOR®, BLOSSOM PROTECT™, and WEINTEC®, Kwizda Agro offers sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions tailored to the needs of fruit and wine cultivation. These additions meet the growing demands of modern agriculture.

In Germany, Kwizda Agro's own-developed products UPSIDE® and TRICO® are already available, offering proven plant protection that aligns with organic farming principles. The addition of three new biological plant protection products further enhances the portfolio for fruit and wine growers.
BOTECTOR® is a biological fungicide that combats Botrytis cinerea (gray mold) in grapes, strawberries, and various berry fruits (raspberries, blackcurrants, etc.) by limiting pathogens through nutrient competition. BLOSSOM PROTECT™ provides a unique solution to protect pome fruit from fire blight and storage diseases. It forms a protective biofilm that blocks pathogens by lowering the pH level and depriving harmful microorganisms of nutrients. Both products leave no residues and are certified for organic farming.
For viticulture, Kwizda Agro is introducing WEINTEC®, a pheromone-based and user-friendly solution for disrupting grapevine moths in Germany. Its high pheromone concentration provides effective control across all moth generations while requiring fewer dispensers per hectare, saving valuable labor time.
